No, I’m not referring to the movie, although it certainly was inspirational. The actual term however seems quite elusive. Every day so many of us trudge on through life, completing the ‘have-to’s’ and ‘musts’ but our happiness is left lacking, stumbling behind our rushed pace. We seem to have lost that part of what we are entitled. We have given up our pursuit.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying we are entitled to anything. In fact I have a very low tolerance for those who think they are entitled to things they don’t put any effort into. But for those of us who are willing to push forward in order to attain our happiness? Well that’s what I’m talking about.
So as to the pursuit of happiness, it must first be necessary to find what will make us happy. And then comes the hard part. The execution of pursuit. This includes getting shot down, again, and again, and picking up the pieces to make something even better. Nothing will be handed to you, and certainly nothing will be satisfying, without first putting in the necessary effort. And in that effort, in that pursuit, it will be mandatory to throw all of your energy, all of your being into that pursuit. It can be intimidating, and scary, but it can also be a realization of dreams.
So let go of the fear and anxiety and pursue that happiness! Sitting and thinking about doing something has never gotten it done.
